Carol Sue McCoskey, 70 of Belleville, Ill., born June 20, 1941 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. McCoskey was office administrator for Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill., and Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home in St. Jacob, Ill. She was the founder and coordinator of the FRIENDS program, a social support program for widows and widowers. She was a member of Signal Hill Methodist Church and a very proud graduate of Class of 1959, at East St. Louis High School. Carol enjoyed all of her friends and truly never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who knew her. Carol was very proud of her three grandchildren and enjoyed telling stories about them. She also enjoyed her walks with Sophie and their many stops for ice cream.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow "Woody" McCoskey; parents, Vern and Helen Yingst, nee Fulkerson; brother, Jim Yingst; sister, Pat Kalicki; brother-in-laws, Mel Malone and Bill Kalicki; and sister-in-law, Margie Kelly.
Surviving are her loving children, Karen Boisnard of Denver, CO.,
Steve McCoskey of Cincinatti, OH., and Mike McCoskey of Belleville, Ill; grandchildren, Kait and Elise Boisnard and Davis McCoskey; sisters, Shirley Malone of Lebanon, Ill., Janet (Larry) Baldwin of Chester, Ill; a brother, Dale (Joan) Yingst of Libertyville, Ill; a brother-in-law, Denny McCoskey of Barnett, MO. Carol was also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill. and 9:30 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at St. Matthews Methodist Church, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at St. Matthews Methodist Church, Belleville, Ill., with Rev. Charles West officiating.
Interment will follow services at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
