Carol L. Giger, nee Blumer, 73, of St. Jacob, Ill., born Feb. 3, 1939, in Highland, Ill., died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in Aviston, Ill.
Mrs. Giger was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ, She loved and enjoyed her family. She had worked for the Department of Labor in the wage and hour records division.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Verna, nee Wehrle, Blumer.
Surviving Carol are her husband, Don Giger, whom she married on Aug. 28, 1957, in St. Jacob, Ill.; daughter, Donna (Daniel) Mondt of Aviston, Ill.; sons, Jeffrey (Diane) Giger of St. Jacob, Ill., David (Renee Crews) Giger of Troy, Ill., and Timothy (Doreen Ponder) Giger of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Ashley, Trey, Kristy and David Giger, Travis and Amber Mondt; great-grandchild, Lucas Klaus; sisters, Joanne Meyer of St. Jacob, Ill., Judy (Willard) Gindler of St. Jacob, Ill., and Phyllis (Tom) Korte of Highland, Ill.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Private services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012, officiated by the Rev. Gary Kniepkamp. Burial in Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill.
