Carmelita Rose Bauer, nee Freiderich, 86, of Troy, Ill., born June 6, 1925, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Bauer was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, Ill. Carmelita loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Bauer; parents, Arthur and Anna, nee Haas, Freiderich; two brothers, Gene and Art Freiderich; and four sisters, Eugene Embrey, Vera Alexander, Ann Nevenner and Irma Angell.
Surviving are a son, Steven (Karen) Bauer of Edwardsville, Ill.; two daughters, Cheryl (Ronald) Wildhaber of Marine, Ill., and Sandy (John) Hess of Marine, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Blake and Brittany Bau-er, Michelle (Mike) Dapkus, Kelly (Ryan) Jansen, Tim (Shelley) Hess and Holly (Jon) Mueller; 11 great-grandchildren, Evan, Carter and Caden Dapkus, Rylee and Clayton Jansen, Carson, Hayden and Delaney Hess, Jake, Cole and Luke Mueller; and two sisters, Dot Saric of Belleville, Ill., and Sally Colone of Collinsville, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Delta Gamma Center for Children, 1750 South Big Bend Blvd., Richmond Heights, Mo. 63117.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Marine, Ill., with Fr. Carlos M. Bohorquez officiating. Burial will be in Marine City Cemetery, Marine, Ill.
