Carl Jefferson Dunahee, 85, of Fairview Heights, IL, born Tuesday, June 21, 1938 in Louisville, IL and passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Lebanon, IL.

Carl attended the St. Alberts Catholic Church and then Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, IL.  He retired from Hunter Packing with 28 years of service.  He then owned and operated Dunahee Painting Company until he retired.  He loved deer hunting, camping and fishing but most of all he enjoyed his family and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Esther R. (nee Tipton) Dunahee and Gail (nee Horton) Dunahee; parents, Jefferson and Jessie (nee Miller) Dunahee; and his brother, Ray Dunahee.

Surviving are his children, Jeff (Cathy) Dunahee of Troy, IL and Carla Dunahee of New Baden, IL; grandchildren, Sarah, Morris and Jessica Hinton; great-grandchildren, Hailie Pfalzgraf, Carter and Evan Hinton and Montgomery Bartok; brother, Donald (Wilma) Dunahee of Branson, MO; and his sister-in-law, Kathy Dunahee of Collinsville, IL
