Rupert L. "Bud" Nimmo, 91, of Troy, IL, born June 21, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Bud was a faithful member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Maryville, IL. He faithfully served his country in the United States . He was a craftsman, built the 2 homes his family lived in. He loved traveling the world, making jewelry from polished rocks and enjoyed the Ham Radio Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Rose (nee Moeser) Nimmo; and his sister, Marcella Lindsay.

Surviving are his wife, Rita F. (nee Reed) Nimmo whom he married September 18, 1948 at Resurrection Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO; Children, David A. Nimmo of Troy, IL, Jane (Don) Hodge of Muscatine, IA and Debra (Kirk) Watson of Denton, TX; grandchildren, Joel (Melissa) Nimmo, Clay (Annette) Nimmo, Jeffrey (Meredith) Nimmo, Joy (Douglas) Munsch, Charity (Steve) Malke, Joshua (Christa) Hodge, Drew (Christina) Watson and Sara (Joey) Talladino; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Liberty, Patrick, CAden, Reed and Jessamine Nimmo, Theodore Munsch, Kalena Malke, Lauren and Jack Watson, Adaline and Caleb Talladino; sister, Gail Goudey of Columbia, IL

Funeral procession will leave Richeson Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:30 for 11 am Mass at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Maryville, IL. Rev. Joseph Havrilka, KHS will officiate.  Interment will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
