Bobbie J. Pfeil, 87, of Troy, IL born September 10, 1930 in Pine Bluff, AR, passed away Sunday December 17, 2017 at Elmwood Nursing Home in Maryville, IL.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett A. Pfeil, son Michael Pfeil, parents George and Ura V Hogan and brother Richard Hogan.
Bobbie enjoyed the outdoors. She and husband Emmett lived on the Edwardsville Sportsmans Club grounds for 30 years and loved their time there very much. They raised different animals and Bobbie did different forms of art such as painting and woodworking. Prior to their time there they lived on a farm in Troy. They rode horses in competition and Bobbie was a reserve champion barrel racer. She spent her later years sitting at the park and feeding the birds or sitting out at the Sportsmans Club enjoying the fresh air. She loved to frequent multiple senior centers to have lunch, socialize and play bingo. She liked to travel and enjoyed going on trips with the senior center and also with the seniors of Troy United Methodist Church where she was a member.
Surviving are her sons, Brian (Marti) Pfeil of Troy, IL and Steve (Christie) Pfeil of St. Louis MO; grandchildren, Cassie (Dan) Steven, Lesa (Kirk) Auten, Emily (Greg) Becherer, Elizabeth (Kyle) Kohlberg, and Andrea (Darren) Davis; 12 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
