Billy Lee Barbeau, 65, of Cape Girardeau, MO, born Sunday, July 7, 1957 in East St. Louis, IL and passed away at his home in Cape Girardeau on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Billy attended the Pentecostal Church and had a strong belief in his heavenly father.  He worked many years as a printer for the Cape Girardeau newspapers and as a Caregiver with the Heartland Care and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.  He enjoyed building model boats, raising fish and celebrating and decorating for the Christmas season.  He loved his family and was happy when they were able to be together for special occasions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Alma Marie (nee Buckley) Barbeau; his 2 brothers, Thomas and Dennis Barbeau; brother-in-law, Gale Stoops and his sister-in-law, Nancy Martin.

Surviving are his sisters, Linda (David) Houser and Ruth Ann (Garry) Cornett both of New Athens, IL, Shirley Stoops of Troy, IL; brothers, Norman (Mary) Barbeau of Cape Girardeau, MO and Arthur "Eugene" Martin of Belleville, IL; special friends, Angela Perry, Bradley Hurt, Gene Dobbs and Doyal Aberiathy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many other dear friends.
