Billie Joy Cumberland, nee Camp, 77, of Troy, Ill., born Dec. 6, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at her home.
Billie was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Whitaker who died in April of 1988; second husband, William Cumberland who died in July of 2001; and her mother, Peggy, nee Henderickson, Brooks.
Surviving are her son, James Whitaker of Carlyle, Ill.; her daughter, Sheila (Eddie Brechner) Wilkinson of St. Jacob, Ill.; brother, Gary Brooks of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Linda Orlando of Perryville, Mo.; grandchildren, Steven Whitaker, Greg Whitaker, Tammy Vogt, Eric Wilkinson and Beagle Vogt; great-grandchildren, Coby and George Vogt, Lyra Wilkinson, and Steven, Luke, Clint, Lacy, Logan, and Taiylor Whitaker; great-great-grandchild, Kylie Vogt and Nieces Bobbie Cole and Theresa Lepold.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
