Beulah Ann Klenke, 82, of Troy, Ill., born April 20, 1926, in Collinsville, Ill., died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Eden Village.
Mrs. Klenke was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill. She worked as a bank teller and a farmers wife/home executive. She was proud of the 29 years served as an election judge in Madison County. She enjoyed genealogy and archiving at St. Paul's Lutheran, and Edwardsville Library. She loved to travel, embroidery and quilt.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth D. Klenke; and her parents, Louis and Rosa, nee Kleppisch, Meier.
Surviving are her husband, Harold R. Klenke; a son, Eugene (Lois) Klenke of Troy, Ill.; three daughters, Marilyn E. (Edward) Gerstenecker of Vernon, Ill., Dianne F. (Mike) Waitukaitis of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Barbara A. (Steve) Unterbrink of Moro, Ill.; a brother, Louis E. (Vivian) Meier of Collinsville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund or Alzheimers Association.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill., with Rev. John Palka officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
