Betty May Gooch, nee DeSart, 90, of Troy, Ill., formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born May 6, 1925, in Coffeen, Ill., died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy, Ill.
Mrs. Gooch retired as assistant cashier from State Bank of Collinsville in 1986, after 26 years of employment.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James B. Gooch, in 1980; a daughter, Beverly A. Ingram (Michael), in 2005; parents Melvin and Elizabeth DeSart; and siblings Nyle, Evert and Louie DeSart, and Nedra Kosowski.
Surviving are a sister, Vera Clark of Litchfield, Ill.; two daughters, Sandra (David) Morton and Wanda (Fred) Keil; and five grandchildren she was blessed with, Dawn (Scott) Boatright, Eric (Laura)Ingram, Rebecca Morton (Ann Schuessler), Elizabeth Krieger and Brendon Krieger; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla Holshouser, Shelby Felchlin, K'Ajia Krieger, Alonzo Garrett, Rachel Ingram, Seth and Audrey Morton; and a great- great-grandchild, Aden Corum.

Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Ill.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the church with Pastor Doug Seagle presiding. Burial at a later date at St. Johns Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
