Bethany Lynn Budwell, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, departed this world on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Bethany, age 16, of Marine, Illinois was born at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois on October 19, 1994.

Bethany was a Junior at Triad High School and was recently elected Captain of the Triad High School Cheerleading Squad. She worked at McDonalds in Troy, IL. and Splash City in Collinsville, IL.

"She stood up when everyone sat down, she spoke when everyone was quiet, she smiled when everyone was in fear." "This quote describes Bethany perfectly. We are so proud of Bethany's accomplishments and all of the lives she has touched. She was an amazing person that could put a smile on anyones face, a friend to everyone and an inspiration to many, but above all, she was our beautiful baby sister who we miss and love very much." Bethany is survived by her parents, Barry W. and Jamie (nee Luckshis) Budwell; sisters, Ashley M. and Christine M Budwell of Troy, IL.; grandparents, Maryanne and Lawrence Budwell of Troy, IL, Cheryl and Ron Gladdue of Edwardsville, IL. and Jim and Marcie Luckshis of Mitchell,, IL.; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and Wiggles, her dog.

Memorials may be made to Triad High School Cheerleaders Fund.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL and Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 11am to 12 noon at First Baptist Church of Maryville, 7110 State Route 162, Maryville, IL.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Maryville, IL. at 12 noon with the Rev. Richard Budwell officiating.

She will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
