Obituary
Mr. Bert O. Long, age 93, of Highland, Illinois, passed away at his residence on May 10, 2011. He was born on March 21, 1918 in Cold Water, Oklahoma.
Mr. Long had been a Maintenance Engineer with a commercial pharmaceutical company and was a veteran of WW II having served in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Shade and Esther M. (nee Whiteman) Long; daughter, Ginger Malnick; brothers, Orin, Henry, Harry, and William Long, and sisters, Norma and Jane Barnes.
Surviving are daughters, Joann E. (Lewis) Scott of Highland, IL.; Patricia Louise (Robert) James of Las Vegas, NV., and Jayne Lee Long of Cameron Park CA.; grandchildren, Callie Ann Hanson, Jake Gatlin, Kimberly Koelling, Jesse Malnick, Denman D. Patterson,Tashia Malnick, Richard Lee Patterson, Megan C. Patterson; great grandchildren, Jessica A. Smith, Justin M. Smith, Alexandrin Gatlin, Russ Gatlin, Kalaya Lopez, Lola Luisant, and River Rose Kurtz; great great grandchildren, Jack Pepper Smith, Brighton Joann Snyder, and Brylie Gatlin.
Memorials may be made to Alzeheimers Association.
Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 1 to 2 pm at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home in St. Jacob, IL.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2 pm at the Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, IL. with the Rev. Pablo Mart and Rev. Zoila Marty officiating.
