Bernadine Brenkendorff, nee Hall, 95, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 6, 1917, in Edwardsville, Ill., died on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Maryville, Ill.
Bernadine was a very active life long member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Frank Brenkendorff, whom she married on Aug. 20, 1940, in Warrenton, Mo., and who passed away on Jan. 28, 2003; parents, Luther and Maude, nee Shaffer, Hall; brother, Leo Hall; and sisters, Beatrice Woods and Helen Brenkendorff.
Surviving are her sons, Charles E. (Jill) Brenkendorff of Troy, Ill., and James A. (Teena) Brenkendorff of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Amber Stanton, Jacob, Aaron, Shannon Brenkendorff and Tianna Carrington; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Emme, Jack, Tristan, Brooklyn, Leighton, Paxton, Caiden and Keiran.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 31 Reasons Program.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, Ill.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the church with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
