Mr. Ben Wesselmann, 63 years, born February 17, 1943 in Breese, Illinois, died February 4, 2007 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.

Mr. Wesselmann, formerly of Hoyleton, Illinois has lived in Troy, Illinois for the past 9 years. Ben was a salesman for Lange-Stegmann Co./Agrotain International. He was a Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association Board Member, Hoyleton Public School Board President for many years, past Assistant Chief for the Hoyleton Volunteer Fire Department, and Washington County Zoning Board President for many years. Ben held several offices for the Hoyleton Lions Club, Past Member of the Hoyleton and Centralia Jaycees, Hoyleton Community Club/Hof-Brau Fest Chairman. Ben was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Illinois.

Mr. Wesselmann is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn (nee:Aussieker) Wesselmann, whom he married April 18, 1964 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois; his loving daughters, Mrs. Michelle (Douglas) Buss of Glen Carbon, Illinois, and Mrs. Danelle (Erich) Maschhoff of Bloomington, Illinois; his brothers,Andrew (Joan) Wesselmann of Carlyle, Illinois, Marvin (Linda) Wesselmann of Carlyle, Illinois, and Eugene (Patricia) Wesselmann of Carlyle, Illinois; his granchildren, Madilyn, Megan and Michaela Maschhoff, and Anna Marie and Alan Bernard Buss.

Mr. Wesselmann is preceded in death by his parents, Aloys and Dorothy (nee: Santel) Wesselmann.

VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2007.And from 9:30 A.M. at Friedens Church on Friday, until service time at 11:00 A.M.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Illinois, with Reverend Scott Hawker officiating.
