Obituary
Barbara K. Kossakoski, 85, of Troy, Ill., born Nov. 21, 1923, in Wallingford, Conn., died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Kossakoski was an assistant hospital administrator.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Kossakoski whom she married on Jan. 12, 1946, and who died Dec. 6, 2007; and her parents, Robert and Mary Irene, nee Smith, Griffin.
Surviving are her sons, Richard (Wendy) Kossakoski of Troy, Ill., and John (Cindy) Kossakoski of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, Mary (Vince) Kossakoski-Bralts of St. Joseph, Mich.; grandchildren, Jana, Emily, Erin, Collin, Seth, and Kelly Kossakoski, Kellie Hurwitz, George, David, and Michael Grix, and D'Shai Bellargeon; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Fisher House Foundation and can be mailed to Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
