Barbara J. Green, 74, of Troy, IL, born Tuesday, February 28, 1950, in Hillsboro, IL and passed away at her home on Friday, December 6, 2024.

Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother and always enjoyed the times she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin R. Green whom she married October 14, 1969, and he passed away on October 28, 1998.

Surviving are her children, Patricia (Brian Tweedy) Green-Birchett of Troy, IL and James R. (Lisa) Green of Litchfield, IL; her grandchildren, JT, Koda and Chloe Birchett; her brothers, William J. "Bill" (Jennifer) McClain of Lebanon, TN, Dan Young of Troy, IL; sisters, Tina (Gary) Halbert, Deb (Jeff) Myers and Jamie (Brad) Stanek all of Troy, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Kent Wilson officiating.  Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
