B. Elizabeth Beam, 91, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, February 16, 1928 in Boone, NC, passed surrounded by her family on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Highland Health Care Center, Highland, IL.

Elizabeth attended Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, IL. She was a Cardinal baseball fan and enjoyed her bingo games. She loved her family and cherished anytime she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph L. Beam whom she married in 1947 and he passed away in 1993; her son, Wayne Beam; son-in-law, Donald Guess; parents, Joseph C. and Hettie (nee Tester) Presnell.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol (Kim) Danes of Glen Carbon, IL and Phyllis Guess of Paris, TN; daughter-in-law, Cathy Beam of Perryville, MO; grandchildren, Rebecca (Danny) Beam-Buck, Renee (Michael) Beam-Dodd, Rachel Beam, Donny (Becky) Guess, Jonathan Guess, Ryan Danes and Brad (Teresa) Danes; 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Following Elizabeth's request she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery and a Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
