Obituary

Mr. Arthur A. Schmerbauch, age 77, of Troy, Illinois, died January 9, 2010 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Arthur was born in Fayetteville, Illinois on April 23, 1932 to Charles H. and Julia B., nee Sutton, Schmerbauch.

Mr. Schmerbauch served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Verteran. Arthur retired from Granite City Steel and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Schmerbauch was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Marcus, Joseph, George, and Daniel Schmerbauch, and sister Pauline Lewis.

Mr. Schmerbauch is survived by brothers, Roy (Bonnie) Schmerbauch of Collinsville, Il., Erwin (Connie) Schmerbauch of Collinsville, Il., John "Jack"
Schmerbauch of Ocala, FL., Robert Schmerbauch of St. Jacob, Il.; sisters Ella Prendiville of Melbourne, FL., Blanch (Harding) Nix of Claremont, NJ, Viola (Marvin) Schmieg of Granite City, IL., and Dorothy Schmerbauch of St. Louis, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church or Tri Township Park.

Visitation will be at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 9 to 11 A.M.

Funeral Services will be at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11 A.M. with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery, Troy, IL.
