Arlyn Frederick Heuiser, 79, of Troy, Ill., born April 4, 1931, in Litchfield, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at his home on the Heuiser family farm, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Heuiser was in helicopter logistics for the United States government. He was a veteran serving the United States Navy. He loved collecting antiques, traveling, woodworking, hunting, fishing and time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alan M. Heuiser; and his parents, Frederick and Adelia, nee Henke, Heuiser.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly, nee Hankins, Heuiser of Troy, Ill., whom he married on July 12, 1988; daughters, Diane (Ernest) Boulicault of St. Louis, Mo., and Julie (David) Nolin of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Donna, nee Bone, Heuiser of Athens, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Lauren (Joseph) Lightle, Jeremy (Angela) Stupperich, Melissa Reynolds, Corinne Heuiser, Erin Heuiser, Victoria (JD) Harris and James Arlyn Nolin; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Aubrey Lightle; and two brothers-in-law, Mark (Jody) Hassebrock and Gerald Hassebrock.
Memorials may be made to Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks, and will be received at the funeral home.
