Anna Cecelia Lewis, 87, of Troy, Ill., born March 16, 1920, in Albany N.Y., died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, Ill.

Mrs. Lewis was a gifted artist, talented in all media, especially watercolor. She was a very caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, devoting herself to attending the kid's sporting events and activities. She was also an avid Cardinals fan. She sold Avon products for 21 years.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Francis Lewis, whom she married on Feb. 10, 1945, and who died Jan. 1, 1979; and her parents, John and Rose, nee Zmyewaka, Stein.

Surviving are her sons, Larry (Debra) Lewis of Edwardsville, Ill., Vernon (Sammy) Lewis of Branson, Mo., and Scott (Deb) Lewis of Troy, Ill.; daughters, Ava (Leslie) Hensler of St. Jacob, Ill., and Tamara Lewis-Butler of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Bradley (Robin) Lewis, Ty (Tara) Lewis, Christie (Josh) Jones, Heather (Nathan) Berbereia, Shannon Lewis, Melissa (Josh) Hobick, Heidi (Joe) Cigliana, Charles (Heather) Staub Jr., Michael Staub, Denny Yount Jr., Bruzann "Zanny"(Phil) Pender, Scott (Zoe) Lewis Jr., Erica (Tim) Nast and Lindsey Warner; great-grandchildren, Grant, Dalton, Kyle, Kali, Caleb, Kelsey, Hannah, Hayley, Tyler, Trever, Audrey, Baylee, Canyon, Elizabeth, Keenan, Alex and Trenton.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Ill.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the church with Monsignor Virgil Mank officiating. Interment will bein St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
