Anna G., nee Boedefeld, Hranicka, 86, of St. Jacob, IL, born March 21, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, died April 3, 2017 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Anna was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. Jacob, IL. She and her family for many years had very large gardens planting thousands of tomato, pepper and cucumber plants. She loved cooking, quilting, embroidery, flower gardens and fishing. She loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth S. Hranicka whom she married in Oct. of 1949 and he passed away August 28, 1979; and her parents, Joseph and Anna nee Blume, Boedefeld.

Surviving are her children, Rose Hranicka of St. Jacob, IL, Theresa (Ed) Holshouser of Edwardsville, IL, Kenneth "Butch" Hranicka of Pocahontas, IL, Paul Hranicka of Alton, IL and Joe Hranicka of St. Jacob, IL; grandchildren Natalie Knellar, Danny Holhouser, Russell Hranicka and BillieJo Gilliland; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Valarie, Jessie and Jacob Hranicka; sister, Alberta (Art) Brinkman of Florissant, MO; sister-in-law, Delores Boedefeld of St. Louis, MO.
