Obituary
Anna E. Hayes, age 93, of Troy, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Highland, Illinois on January 17, 1917 and had resided in Troy since 1958. She had previously worked for the Modern Linen Company of Troy, IL. She married Richard Hayes on December 2, 1939. He passed away on November 19, 1955. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL.; Rebecca Lodge #544, Women Guild of Friedens Church, and Senior Citizens.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Irma (nee Bader) Donnelly, and sisters, Matilda Monken and Ruth Abert.
Surviving are her daughters, Dixie Lee (John) Frye of Lafayette, IN, Janice (Anthony) Bordignon of Huntley, IL. and Debra (Dennis) Kniser of Troy, IL.; brother, Glen (Zelda) Donnelly of St. Jacob, IL.; sister, Pearl Weinacht of Highland, IL.; 12 grandchildren, Kara Kniser, Jason (Freya)Kniser, Christopher Kniser, John (Cherish) Quinn, Julie (Ed) Hapke, Laurie (Dan) McDermott, Ken Bordignon, Rodney (Jean) Schmisseur, Tony (Tessie) Schmisseur, Kelly Frye, Brian (Lynette) Frye and Andrea Frye; 11 great grandchildren, Anna and Calum McDermott, Jacqui, Michael, Katelyn and Trevor Schmisseur, Brooke, Breanne, Braylie, and Luke Frye, and Jake Huegel.
Memorials may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home and Friday, November 12, 2010 from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10 AM at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Proctor officiating.
Interment will be in Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, IL.
