Ana Angelica Hopkin Torres, 91, of Troy, IL, born November 5, 1925 in Lima, Peru, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Ana lived and raised her family in Lima, Peru moving recently Troy, to be closer to her daughter and her family. She loved to travel, knit, read books and was a wonderful seamstress, making clothing for her family.

Ana was preceded in death by her husband Javier Palacios; parents, Jose and Ana (nee Torres) Hopkins; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Surviving are her children, Maria (Daniel) Norkus of Troy, IL, Elena (Roberto) Morante of Bolivia and Javier Palacios of Lima, Peru; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Ruben (Rosa) Hopkins of Wilmington, DE; sisters, Rosa Perez and Ana Maria Perez both of Lima, Peru; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
