Alva Kathryn "Katy" Scheffel, 97, of San Jose, CA, born Sunday, November 26, 1922 in Eddyville, KY and passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at her home in San Jose, CA.

Katy was a member of the St. John UCC, Granite City, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Scheffel whom she married December 24, 1941 and he passed away May 24, 1973; her parents, Garnett and Alice (nee Gray) Bloodworth; her brothers, Lynn, John and Orbie "Pin" Bloodworth.

Surviving are her children, Marc (Jeanne) Scheffel of Jackson, MO, John (Diane) Scheffel of Sunnyvale, CA, Kim Scheffel of San Jose, CA and Marcee Rawley of Pahoa, HI; grandchildren, Lindsey and Lauryn Scheffel.
