Allan L. Melton, age 30, of Smithton, formerly of the Highland-Troy area, passed away November 20, 2003. Allan was born March 25, 1973 to Melvin and Margaret (nee Thouvenin) Melton in Breese, Illinois. They preceded him in death. Allan moved to the Troy area in 1985 coming from Branson, Missouri. Allan worked in Construction as an independent contractor.

Mr. Melton is survived by one brother, Melvin (Ludye) Melton of Drummonds, Tennessee; four sisters, Brenda (Tim) Simpson of Ripley, Tennessee; Carletta (Jimmy) Yarbrough of Millington, Tennessee; Mrs. Leona Sparkman of Springfield, Missouri; and Mrs. Barbara (Rick) Russom of Nixon, Missouri. He is also survived by his fiancee', Kimberly Happy of Smithton, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Selbe in 1979.

Visitation: Friends may call at Laughlin Funeral Home after 4:00 pm, Monday, November 24 and from 9:00 am til 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2003.

Funeral Services: 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home with Brother Tim Lewis of Bethel Baptist Church officiating.

Memorials may be made to "Victims of Violent Crimes" and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 1:00 pm, Agnos Cemetery, Agnos, Arkansas under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas
