Obituary
Alice L. Tucker, nee Osborn, 88, of Collinsville , Ill., born Dec. 30, 1922, in Holcomb, Mo., passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.
Alice was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Troy, Ill. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Tucker who died Nov. 25, 2001; her parents, Daniel Thomas Osborn and Effie Leona, nee Leonberger, Osborn; her brothers, Thomas and Ulysses Osborn; and sisters, Allie Reeves and Ruby Thompson.
Surviving are her children, William and Ginny Tucker from High Ridge, Mo., Patricia and Lawrence Somraty from Troy, Ill., and Lawrence and Elaine Tucker from Arlington, Va.; eight grandchildren, Lawrence Somraty Jr., Christopher Somraty, Tricia Held, Dr. Laura Bird, Lisa Raby, Michelle Frisbee, Casey Tucker and Ann Tucker; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice, Collinsville, Ill., or to St. Jerome Catholic Church for masses.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Troy, Ill. Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
