Obituary
Mrs. Alice G. Meseke, nee Gross, age 81, of Troy, Illinois, died August 29, 2010 at Eden Village, Edwardsville, IL.
Mrs. Meseke was born August 28, 1929 in Ferona, Missouri. She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL; the P.T.L.; L.W.M.L. and Helping Hands. She enjoyed walking, working puzzles, and playing cards, especially euchre.
Mrs. Meseke was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Meseke, whom she married December 23, 1956 and who died on March 21, 2001, and her parents Carl and Lydia (Dreyer) Gross.
Surviving are a son, David Meseke of Troy, IL.; daughters, Marie (Bill) Copeland of Afton, MO., Phyllis Meseke of Spokane, WA., and Brenda (Mike) Cusanelli of Troy, IL.; grandchildren, Rose (Ray) Mills, Fred Schwager, Dominic Cusanelli, Bradley Meseke, and Abbi Meseke, and great grandchild, Anna Marie Mills.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Troy, IL. or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL. and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at St Paul's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating.
Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Troy, IL.
