Alexander "Bud" "Al" Jones, 73, of Troy, Illinois passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. He was born July 12, 1937 in Cumberland, Maryland.

He retired from the Air Force as a SMSGT, after 30 years of service and 10 years Civil Service duty. "Al" was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, St. Jerome Choir, and VFW Troy Post #976.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathleen (nee Haines) Jones, and sister and brother in law, Luella "Lou", "Pete" and Arthur W. McKay.

Surviving are his loving wife, Melinda (nee Raguirag) Jones of Troy, IL.; daughter, Julie A. (Charles) Dicken of Cumberland, Maryland; grandchildren, Danielle Marie Schaefer, Rylie Nanea Lee and Leilelani Brooke Lee; brother, Gary (Joyce) Jones of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters, Barbara Oster of Cumberland, Maryland and Jeanne (Henry) Camacho of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Fischer House at Jefferson Barracks Hospital or Masses.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 9 to 10 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois with Fr. Pat Jakel officiating.

Mr. Jones wishes were to be cremated.
