Agnes T. Becherer, nee Kalmer, 90 of Jarvis Township, Illinois, born Nov. 27,1911, in Damiansville, Illinois, died Saturday Oct. 5, 2002 at Maryville Manor, Maryville, Illinois.

Mrs. Becherer was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.; St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Black Jack,IL.; and St. Ann's Altar Society. She was an avid quilter at the church. She lived her life with diginity and integrity.

Mrs. Becherer was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Becherer, whom she married February 11, 1941, and who died December 3, 1987; her parents, Henry and Bertha (nee Heckemper) Kalmer; and six brothers William, Henry, Leo, Alphons, Hubert and Edward Kalmer.

Surviving are two sons Henry (Mary Ann) Becherer of Troy, IL and James (June) Becherer of Summerfield, IL; three daughters Mary Kolo of Collinsville, IL, Theresa (Ronald) Kohlmiller of Edwardsville, IL, and Jo Ann (Robert) Lietz of Kirkwood, MO; two sisters, Marie Korte of Germantown, IL, and Estelle Stuckenberg of Aviston, IL; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in the form of Masses to St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. or to the Alzheimers Foundation.

Visitation: Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, IL. and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct.9, 2002 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.

Funeral: Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2002 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. with Father Steven Janoski officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Black Jack,IL.
